Firefighters reportedly rescued to pets from a large house fire in south San Antonio Wednesday morning. 24 units responded to the blaze in the 700 block of Deely Place just before 9:30 a.m. Firefighters said the cause of the fire was determined to be a vehicle residents were working on in the carport area. Two chihuahuas were rescued from the scene and administered oxygen, said firefighters. Firefighters located four exposures nearby, so they called a second alarm. No injuries were reported in the fire.
