One person was hospitalized after falling at a construction site in the Upper Kirby area, according to Houston Fire Department officials. Firefighters say a worker fell from a swing stage at a building under construction in the 2900 block of Richmond at Wakeforest shortly after 10 a.m. The worker was transported to a hospital in the Texas Medical Center. His condition was not known. Rescuers had to free three other workers who were stranded on the swing stage. HFD secured the stage, and safely brought the stranded workers down around 10:47 a.m. Equipment from the stage also fell on top of a black SUV that was parked along the street.
