A fire that broke out at a Brownsville home is now extinguished. It happened Tuesday on Barcelona Avenue. The fire left one family without a home for the second time. The calls came into the Brownsville Fire Department around 11:00 a.m. Neighbors called the department and reported smoke clouds were coming from the attic. The roof eventually collapsed. No one was in the home at the time of the fire. Amber Cisneros is the daughter of the couple who lost their home. She said everything in the home is gone. “We have to keep our faith, look forward to whatever God plan is for us,” she said. Two firefighters were injured as they worked to extinguish the fire. They were treated on scene and released with minor injuries. The fire marshal is currently beginning the preliminary stages of the investigation to the cause of the fire.
