Fire officials are investigating what sparked a fire at an abandoned home in northwest Houston. Firefighters responded to the scene on Hempstead Highway and W. 11th at around 9 p.m. on Thursday. They found flames coming from inside a heavily wooded area and found two structures next to each other on fire. Crews managed to keep the fire from spreading to the wood, but the two structures burned down. No one was hurt.
