Two people were killed in a massive fire near Canyon Lake in Comal County early Monday morning, according to the Canyon Lake Fire Department.
Firefighters were called to a mobile home fire at about 4:15 a.m. along the 300 block of Dreamland Drive, near Cranes Mill Marina. When they arrived, they found flames shooting out of the trailer.
They pulled one man out of the fire. He was taken to a hospital where he later died.
A second person was found inside the trailer, but was already deceased with severe burns, according to the fire agency. A family pet was also killed.
The identities of the victims have not been released. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
