PHOTOS: A three-alarm church fire near Love Field Airport temporarily closed runways Tuesday afternoon. Dallas Fire-Rescue crews were called to a fire at Iglesia Adventista Church on Denton Ave. around 1:15 p.m. Tuesday. Crews began fighting the fire from inside, but "the situation quickly escalated and fire began to come through the roof." A third alarm was called and roughly 60-70 firefighters worked to surround and drown the fire with hand lines, master streams and two aerial ladders. Dallas Fire-Rescue says the fire spread to a second building. No injuries have been reported and the fire is under investigation. The City of Dallas said aircraft were being redirected due to smoke. By 3 p.m., all runways were cleared for use and operations at Love Field are normal.
