VIDEO: A Canyon Meadows home has been declared a total loss after a gas grill malfunctioned and caught fire. According to Janet Frank at the Wasatch County Fire District, a caretaker who looks over the home had turned on the grill, left for a few minutes and returned to find it had set fire to an overhanging structure. The caretaker was injured and suffered minor burns to his face and chest. The nearest fire station is about 10 minutes away, Frank said, which allowed time for the fire to spread to the home and garage.
