VIDEO: Hundreds of law enforcement and military members united Wednesday to honor Officer David Romrell. They say can tell a man by his friends, Officer Romrell stood proudly among America’s finest. “Aside from the fact that he truly was a noble warrior, he was an incredibly humble gentleman," South Salt Lake Police Department Deputy Chief of Police Dwayne Ruth. Police officers, firefighters, troopers, marines traveled from around Utah and across the country for the memorial services. Most didn't know him but those who did say they're heartbroken. "It's painful. That’s all I can say," South Salt Lake Police Chief Jack Carruth said. "There are good days and bad days and good moments and bad moments. We are just taking each moment one step at a time.
