There were 11 wildfires actively burning across Utah Thursday morning, according to Utah Fire Info. The fires are centered mostly around central and western Utah, including four new fires — the Patterson Pass (near Wendover), Deer Creek (in Provo Canyon), Foothills (west of Holden, Millard County), and Lava Flow (west of Flowell, Millard County), fires — that started this week. State fire officials said Wednesday night that the Dollar Ridge Fire, south of Fruitland, Duchesne County, had burned 56,687 acres and was 60 percent contained.
