PHOTO: Firefighters are attacking a lightning-caused wildfire Thursday. The Crooked Creek Fire was started on July 18. The fire is burning east of Milburn on private property in a steep canyon with limited access. Additional resources were ordered when the fire grew by Thursday morning. By the evening hours, it was estimated to be about 150 acres. The fire is visible throughout Sanpete County. State fire officials report the area is receiving rain to help cool things down, but the fire remains active. The cabins in the Tucker area were placed under a pre-evacuation notice.
