An early morning semitractor-trailer fire Tuesday morning on southbound Interstate 15 destroyed a trailer and its contents and continues to cause traffic delays. Hurricane Valley Fire Chief Tom Kuhlmann said firefighters were dispatched to the incident at approximately 4:30 a.m. “Crews arrived to find one of two trailers fully involved,” Kuhlmann said, adding, “It was a Core Mark trailer hauling product for a convenience store. We separated the two trailers and started an attack on the trailer.” Kuhlmann said three Hurricane Valley fire engine crews, with assistance from Washington City Fire Department, responded and were able to extinguish the fire.
