Firefighters from Provo, Orem and Springville responded to a two-house fire at 421 and 433 East along 100 South in Provo. The fire was reported at about 2 p.m. Friday, according to Sgt. Nisha King, with the Provo Police Department. Both homes were fully engulfed and received significant damage according to Capt. Dean York, Provo Fire Department. In a bittersweet moment during the fire, Sadie Crawley, resident of 421 East, was surprised when firefighter Isaac Nielson rescued her kitten Sasha from the fire and was able to give Crawley the unharmed animal. The homes are in the Maeser neighborhood of Provo, where many of the older homes of the city stand.
