A semi-truck fire Tuesday afternoon temporarily blocked traffic along SR-23. The fire was reported just after 1:30 p.m. Cache County Fire Marshal Jason Winn said the truck was traveling east on Valley View Highway, SR-30. As it turned onto SR-23, the driver noticed smoke coming from the hood. “So [the driver] pulled over and got out of the truck,” explained Winn. “He looked underneath and saw smoke coming out. He went to get his fire extinguisher and came back. He couldn’t get the fire out with the fire extinguisher and then backed away.”
