VIDEO: One hundred eighty Utah firefighters are on the ground in California. Wednesday marked their first day on the fire lines. Four separate task forces arrived on Monday and spent all of Tuesday staging. Task forces 1 and 3 spent Wednesday extinguishing hot spots and securing the fire’s edge, while task forces 2 and 4 are on standby. “It looks like a nuclear bomb went off in some areas," said Jeremy Hales, emergency management director for Wasatch County. "It’s just black and white from the ash." He spoke with 2News via video chat, sharing the devastation crews are witnessing. “That’s the hard part, seeing these people’s homes," Hales said. "You’ll see one driveway that’s just fine and another that’s just ravished with ruins." They are stationed in Camarillo, Calif., just north west of Thousand Oaks, where the Woolsey Fire has ravished more than 97,000 acres.
