Weber County officials rescued a injured woman hiking near Causey Reservoir in Sunday morning. At approximately 11:40 a.m., Weber Fire District was called out to a traumatic injury at Causey Reservoir, where a 39-year-old woman was reported injured while hiking with her family about 1.5 miles in from the trailhead. Weber Fire sent out a Life Flight helicopter and a ground group to rescue the injured woman. Due to high winds, Weber Fire could not send in the helicopter and called Weber County Search and Rescue to assist. Both crews hiked out to the woman's location and found her with a rolled ankle. She was brought to the hospital in stable condition. According to Weber fire Cpt. Oliver Cummings, the cause of the lower leg injury was unknown.
