A fire has consumed a barn in Rockbridge County on Tuesday morning. Firefighters arrived at the barn on the 2600 block of Turkey Hill Road shortly after 5:30 a.m. The farmer is in the hospital for minor burns, according to Robert Foresman, emergency coordinator. The farmer went into the barn to save a tractor from the fire. Foresman says the barn is a total loss. It was full of hay bales when it caught fire. Several fire crews are still on scene, as of 6:30 a.m.
