Father, son killed after possible electrocution in Lynchburg

A father and son died Wednesday afternoon in Lynchburg after possibly being electrocuted by a power line. Police and firefighters were called to a home on the 200 block of Rowland Drive around 3:15 this afternoon. Officials say two adult male victims were found unresponsive. According to authorities, 55-year-old Timothy Chittum, Sr. and 26-year-old Timothy Chittum, Jr. were pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators say the men were working on a chimney when their ladder came in contact with a high voltage power line. OSHA and Appalachian Power are also investigating the incident.
