Chesterfield firefighters battled heavy flames and thick black smoke coming from a shed fire early Friday morning. It happened shortly after 1 a.m. on Suncrest Drive, which is just off Hull Street near Courthouse Road. Smoke was seen pouring from the remains of the shed. Fire officials say it did not take long to get the fire under control. The fire did not spread to the home, and everyone is okay. However, the fire marshal is investigating what sparked the blaze.
