A fire at the Winters Point apartments in West Point left one dead Saturday night, according to the West Point Volunteer Fire Department.
West Point Fire responded to a call at 8:41 p.m. on Oct. 22 of an apartment fire in the 300 block of Winters Point, according to a release posted on the West Point Volunteer Fire Department's Facebook page.
Arriving at the scene first, West Point Police removed a single occupant found next to the front door of the apartment on fire, the release stated.
West Point Fire Chief Joseph Bartos said the occupant was the only person in the apartment.
