The Frederick County Public Safety Committee met today to discuss the county's needs.
Stephens City Fire and Rescue has requested about $200,000 for a portion of what's going to be a new storage space to hold apparatuses and other equipment.
The Fire and Rescue department also requested $10,000 for a replacement pumper for training, so they don't have to use a first-line apparatus to practice with.
As a result of a busy society, volunteerism for the department has also been down.
