Roanoke County Fire and Rescue responded to a commercial fire alarm around 7:00 p.m. Thursday, at the 5600 block of Airport Road in the North County area. The Emergency Communications Center also received an additional call from inside the building reporting visible smoke and the smell of smoke. When units arrived, they did find a light haze of smoke and the smell of smoke. They also found that the commercial-type building is currently under renovation.
