The Halifax Volunteer Fire Department held its annual awards and Christmas banquet recently with members, their spouses and invited guests present at the fire station in Halifax. Highlight of the evening was honoring present members for their years of service as well as members selected the Firefighter of the Year, EMS Provider of the Year and the Chief’s Awards. Length of service awards were conveyed to four members with one having 40 years of service alone.
