The scene is now clear at Deep Creek High School after officials say gas leaks were found at the school. Lt. Anthony Barakat of the Chesapeake Fire Department tells WAVY.com firefighters were called to the school around 7:30 a.m. Crews found elevated levels of carbon monoxide along with a smell of gas. Kellie Goral, spokesperson with Chesapeake Public Schools, said there was a suspicious odor in two of the school’s halls. Other parts of the building were cleared by the fire department.
