Debris and rubble cover most of the yard of a Troutville home after a fire torn through it Saturday morning. It took nearly a dozen crews hours to contain the flames, but it's what was inside that posed such a challenge. "Most of us would just assume that every home you encounter is going to have an open entry exit but that's not always the case," said Deputy Chief of Botetourt Fire & EMS Jason Ferguson. A few years ago, crews were called to a home that was later identified as a hoarding environment.
