An electrical fire destroyed an auto shop in downtown Covington early Friday morning. Firefighters were called to Robby's Garage on Monroe Avenue around 2:30. The flames tore through the building and also set several cars on fire. Some of those cars exploded. Six cars in total were damaged. A firefighter was taken to the hospital for bruising from falling debris, but he has since been released. The fire was under control within a half hour.
