A total of six people were sent to the hospital on Thursday morning after a house fire in the 3500 block of Charles City Road. Multiple fire engines, tanker trucks and EMS crews were called to the scene, which is not far from the airport, at 9:25 a.m. Two residents of the home and two neighbors who tried to help were sent to the hospital. Another person went to the hospital on their own. A firefighter was also sent to the hospital for evaluation after overheating. There is currently no information on what caused the fire.
