By the time Jacob Dodson cleared the snow piled on his vehicle, there was no time to go to a hospital. His wife was minutes from delivering their third child.
The baby's birth caught 28-year-old Jacob Dodson and his wife, 26-year-old Lindsey Dodson, off-guard. On Jan. 28, 2016, when Dodson realized her child was on the way, a winter storm had blanketed the Roanoke Valley in a foot of snow.
That Saturday, Dodson said she didn't even realize she was in labor until she stood up.
