Update: Investigators reveal cause of blaze inside Fairfax County fire station

Investigators are releasing new details on a two-alarm fire that ripped through an engine and parts of a Fire Station 26 in Fairfax County. On Sunday, May 14, shortly before 1 a.m., 12 firefighters were alerted of a fire inside their station on the 5300 block of Carolina Place in Springfield. The department says the fire captain evacuated the station and called 911. Crews from Fire Station 26 began battling the fire, shortly after the fire was upgraded to a two-alarm blaze.
