Thirteen-year-old Jordan Filmore held her hand tightly over her eyes hiding her tears from the four firefighters who awaited her onstage before a crowd of more than 1,000 people. Those same firefighters — Capt. Robert Maass, Lt. Antonio Bullock, Christopher Ferguson and Michael Possanza of Richmond Fire and EMS — pulled Jordan, who was unconscious at the time, from the second story of a house fire at midnight on June 13. Jordan, now alive and well thanks to their efforts, presented the men with a bronze award at the 2017 Valor Awards presented by the Retail Merchants Association.
