Members of the Suffolk Electoral Board and the city registrar were able to breathe easy on Election Day last week, assured that voting at the city’s polling sites would go on as planned even in the event of an emergency. The electoral body was given an orientation tour of the Hampton Roads Regional Mobile Communications Center on Oct. 30 at Fire Station 6 on King’s Fork Road. The center includes a modified tour bus and portable shelter that can be deployed to almost any location in the state.
