Family and friends comforted each other on the side of Buford Road on Saturday afternoon as firefighters quelled a blaze that destroyed an outbuilding and left one person dead.
“We don’t know what started it yet,” Lt. Jerry Gentry, with the Brosville Volunteer Fire Department, said at the scene of the blaze, but confirmed the call was about an explosion.
A body was found behind the outbuilding, according to Pittsylvania County Fire Marshall Steve Bowman.
