Park rangers will spend Sunday investigating what caused a six acre fire near a resort in Shenandoah National Park. The fire — which was contained as of Saturday evening — was reported by a guest a little before noon, according to Sally Hurlbert, a spokesperson with the park. Skyline Drive was reopened after initially being shut down and guests were allowed back into the Skyland Resort after it was evacuated. Fire officials will keep a check on the fire in the hours to come to make sure it does not reignite, Hurlbert said.
