When the Szymanski family arrived in Sandbridge Wednesday afternoon, the beach was pretty empty . Among the people they saw was a man who looked to be in his 50s or 60s. He was sitting by himself in a chair on the beach, near the market and where Sandbridge and Sandfiddler roads meet. They said, “hello,” and apologized when their dog, Ollie, walked on the man’s blanket. “He just seemed to be enjoying the beautiful day,” Kim Szymanski said. “He seemed pleasant.”
