The Evington Fire Department is asking for support for one of their own.
Landon Martin has been an honorary firefighter since February 2016. In March, he started and completed chemotherapy.
But, in a Facebook post, the fire department wrote that he recently woke up with a headache that persisted through the week. He went through a series of X-rays, was put on oxycontin and a low dose of morphine for his pain and after an MRI, tests revealed that Landon has new tumors that have grown since his scan in January. His family said they are waiting to hear from an oncologist outside of UVA for a consult on his scans before any further decisions are made.
