A large fire was reported on Thursday night at the Atlantic Containment facility in McGaheysville. At one point, a second-alarm was dispatched and several firefighters from agencies throughout the Valley were dispatched to the scene along the 800 block of Island Ford Road in Rockingham County. Officials on the scene told our reporter no injuries were reported. Upon arrival, firefighters saw flames showing through the roof. An official said a quarter of the building was impacted and it is not a total loss.
