The Swoope Fire Department got a new trailer on Wednesday, thanks to a collaboration of donations from Charlie O'Baugh, the Staunton and Verona Moose Lodge, Ferternal Order of Eagles and Reggie from Elite Diesel, who provided the trailer. This is just a godsend that has come to us right on time. This trailer will help incorporate all the businesses, the two sides of the house that we do for fund-raising," said Swoope Volunteer Fire Chief, Kevin Wilkes.
The fire department also got a lemonade stand from a couple with "Aunt Sue's Lemonade", which was another part of their donations.
The fire department plans to use the trailer for fundraising events this summer.
