Hanover Fire Department responded to the 7100 block of Peach Orchard Lane for a report of a home fire at approximately 8:38 p.m. The residence is located in a neighborhood off Cold Harbor Road, near the Bell Creek Shopping Center. Fire officials say the outbreak took place in the attic with heavy smoke. The initial call was to rescue an elderly woman, but there were no injuries reported. The marshal office is investigating the cause of the fire.
