A fire tore through a Lynchburg home Wednesday morning, according to the Lynchburg Fire Department.
Firefighters responded to the home at 224 Cleveland Avenue at 9:42 a.m. for a report of a structure fire, according to Battalion Chief Jonathan Wright.
No one was injured in the blaze, Capt. Jennifer Collins said.
The home’s three occupants were already outside the building when officials arrived on scene, Collins said.
Collins said firefighters encountered heavy fire around the home’s side windows and rear entrance. She said firefighters managed to knock down much of the blaze within six to seven minutes.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known, Wright said. The Lynchburg fire marshal is now on scene investigating the blaze.
