Henry County is hurting for volunteer firefighters. "We're in a constant need for volunteers," Matt Tatum, Henry County's Director of Public Safety said. "All of our departments. There's not just one single one that needs it more than anybody else." The county has eight volunteer fire departments and five rescue squads. Tatum says the county has 24 paid firefighters and between 125-150 active volunteers. But Tatum says they need many more volunteers to be trained and ready for any emergency at any time, 24/7.
