A local fire department is rallying around one of their own after an accident this past weekend. Justin Ware, a volunteer firefighter in Amherst was badly injured while competing in a Motocross dirt bike race near Richmond on Saturday. Public Safety officials say Ware suffered a concussion and some third-degree burns after his bike landed on him during a stunt. Ware is still recovering in the hospital. “Most people call it a brotherhood but when something like this happens, they want to rally around and take care of their own. Not only the community, but also theirs, there will be visitors and there will be people showing up and you know, hopefully it won’t be too bothersome, but he’ll get a lot of attention," said Director of Public Safety, Sam Bryant.
