The Orlean Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department has awarded lifetime membership to Assistant Chief John Jeniec for his 20 years of service to the community.
A graduate of Bridgewater College, Mr. Jeniec began his career in 1998 as a 16-year-old, the earliest age one can become a volunteer firefighter or medic in Fauquier County. Within the first year of being a volunteer, he enrolled in the fire science and emergency medical technician programs at Fauquier High School. So began, Mr. Jeniec’s passion for firefighting.
In the Orlean department, he has held the officer ranks of: 2nd Fire Lieutenant, 1st Fire Lieutenant, Rescue Lieutenant, Fire Captain, Assistant Fire Chief and Fire Chief (2009-16).
