A massive fire is raging in Pittsylvania County as of 11:00 p.m. Wednesday night. Multiple fire crews from Pittsylvania County and beyond responded to the First Piedmont Waste Solutions landfill at 1224 Clarks Mill Road in Ringgold at around 7:30 p.m. Ads by ZINC Witnesses who live nearby say small fires happen at the facility every summer, but this is the worst one they have witnessed. They say the the fire is right in their backyard, and tons of people were walking through their yard to get a glimpse of the blaze.
