Seven people are out of a home after a weekend townhouse fire in Chesapeake. It happened on Kings Court in South Norfolk on Saturday afternoon, east of Campostella and Providence Road. Firefighters arrived to find the two-story townhome unit completely engulfed in flames shortly before 6 p.m. Firefighters were able to contain the majority of the fire damage to the main fire occupancy, with some damage extending into a neighboring unit. The fire was brought under control by 6:24 p.m. No one was hurt, and the Red Cross is assisting the displaced family members.
