Investigators are trying to determine what sparked a house fire in Forest Hill that left a family homeless Thursday morning. Fire crews were called to the house -- located on Forest Hill Avenue near Fairlee Road -- at around 6 a.m. after someone walking by the home noticed smoke. Crews responded to find nothing showing from the home, but later located flames underneath the floor. It took firefighters roughly 30 minutes to mark the blaze under control. No one was home at the time of the fire, but the homeowner's sister told 8News that it's an emotional time for their family, and that Thursday's fire was also a painful reminder of a tragic incident that occurred two years ago.
