The Danville Fire Department said they have rescued three people from their mobile homes in the 400 block of Parker Road. Firefighters said the water was up to the doors of those homes. Thankfully, those people are now safe. Danville Public Work crews are responding to reports of flood water and debris in streets. River Street is partially blocked between Main Street and Halifax Road. Arnett Boulevard at Wendell Scott Drive is also partially blocked. Turn lanes at Riverside Drive and Audubon are under water. A mudslide has closed a lane of Riverside Drive near the YMCA. Numerous roads are also flooded in Martinsville with at least a foot of water over the intersection at Covington and Wedgewood.
