Five people were assessed, including two who were transported, after a hazmat incident Monday morning at Kaiser Permanente in Falls Church. The Arlington County Fire Department responded to the incident in the 200 block of North Washington Street in the city of Falls Church around 10:30 a.m. Officials said odor due to adhesive being used on the roof entered the ventilation system for the building. Some parts of the Kaiser Permanente were also evacuated before the situation was cleared up around noon. Arlington Fire said five patients were assessed, including two who were transported in “good condition.” An Arlington Fire spokesperson said the hazmat incident caused breathing issues for the assessed patients but nothing that was life threatening. The Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department assisted in the incident.
