Firefighters responded to a Henrico townhouse after receiving reports of a working fire in the area on Tuesday evening. A little after 6 p.m., Henrico Fire units arrived at the 9500 block of Meadowgreen Road and found smoke coming from the second-floor window of one of the townhomes, according to an email from Henrico County Fire. Firefighters could also see a working fire in the kitchen of one of the townhomes. The fire was quickly put out as firefighters searched the townhome for residents. Damage caused by the fire was confined to the kitchen. The four occupants of the townhome have been displaced, but they will not need assistance from the Red Cross.
