Fire officials are investigating a mobile home that was damaged by a fire Monday morning. According to the Gladys Volunteer Fire Department, the fire happened in the 600-block of Collins Ferry Road just after 5 a.m. Fire crews said they saw heavy flames coming from the front door area. In addition, they said there has been damage to the front and side of the home. The fire chief said no one was home at the time, so they are unsure if the home is occupied by anyone. They said a passerby called it in. The cause is under investigation by the Fire Marshal.
