PHOTOS: A first responder has been hospitalized with complications from battling a warehouse fire in Iron Gate Monday.
According to Iron Gate Volunteer Fire & Rescue, crews responded to reports of a fire around 1:15 p.m. at the Garten Plant warehouse.
Thick smoke could be seen coming from the building but no one was inside during the time of the fire, according to firefighters.
One member was transported to the hospital with complications, firefighters say. The identity and condition of the first responder has not been released. According to the Eagle Rock Volunteer Fire Department, the warehouse is described as very large and used to store paper and carpet products.
The fire remains under investigation.
