The Rochester Fire Department has reason to celebrate. The town's taxpayers recently approved 400-thousand dollars to build a new fire station. The existing station is roughly 50-years old. It only has bays for two of the department's three trucks and it does not have the necessary training space for its current crew. The chief says the new building will be good for the town and firefighter morale.
